What is a “qualified organization”?
ChckVet enables qualified pet service providers in your community to verify vaccine records via a secure and compliant verification process. A qualified organization is an entity that requires proof of vaccination in order to serve the pets in their care. Examples include pet services (boarding, grooming, daycare, training, etc), apartments, multi-family housing communities, and municipalities.
Our platform is powered by VetVerifi to ensure all verifications are compliant with data privacy standards, permissions-based authorization for verifying entities, and pet owner consent-based requests. Your client is always notified when a verification has been performed on their behalf, and of course they can still access their own records through the client portal.
How does a verification request initiate?
A verification request can only occur when a pet owner initiates a transaction at a qualified organization (i.e. a boarding stay, a grooming appointment, housing application, etc.) and has provided consent for the organization to acquire an updated vaccine record.
What data is required to perform a verification?
To perform a verification, we provide a snapshot of the latest administered vaccinations, with the expiration date for each vaccination. We don’t share or access any other medical records or patient data.
How do I know when a verification has been performed?
We provide a log of all verifications completed to easily track the verifications processed at your practice along with the requesting entity.
What if the pet is overdue for vaccinations?
This is more common than you think! If a pet requiring vaccinations is identified, we’ll instantly notify your clinic of the opportunity to book this appointment. It’s a win/win for the community.
